Today’s sunshine lent itself to being a perfect day to go walking on the beach, taking a lazy stroll on his own to soak up the beautiful sun’s rays, soak in the salty air from closer than the apartment balcony…
Wait a second. Is that…
Rushing over, he knelt down by Kaito, nudging him softly. He wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for dying, would he? God, not again, not again…
“K-Kaito? Are you okay…?!” Calm down. Calm. Don’t freak out. He’s breathing, he’s alive now, but…
One eye cracks open, followed by the other, and Kaito finally turns his head towards Raphael.
“あなたが心配するときには、かわいいです。”
“I’m fine, I swear.”
And there he tugged on Raphael hard, forcing him down onto the sand so that Kaito could hug him properly. “You’d think the beach is taboo, or something. Here if you’re new, here if you’re dead…nobody’s ever just had fun here, have they?”
“Well, this is a surprise.” She - she, because she was hella cute and was going to milk it for all it’s worth - was shocked, but not too unhappy about it. “So, am I allowed to charm people with my feminine wiles now, or what?”
{ Will last until next memekend, because I’m too lazy to keep track of days }
“A planet known as Beforus. Though I was pulled here from a pocket unicerse known as Sgrub. Not the most attractive name, but it was home for a while. And in regard to my name, I must agree the names are quite strange where I hail from. And what of you? Where are you from, friend?” Amodan studied Kaito closely, looking for any sign of lying. It was more curiosity than anything, but he was still unsure of this person’s intentions, he still couldn’t trust him.
“A planet called Earth,” he answered truthfully this time. “To be more precise, a country called Japan. It wasn’t very big, but there were plenty of people.” He shrugged. “There was nothing like pocket universes where I came from, and….not that much magic,” a slight hint of poorly hidden disdain, “so this whole thing is new to me. Er, used to be, back in the beginning.”
“… I’d rather be thorough than fast, but considering things—” Such as Saguru’s nonchalance towards Kuroba. “—I’ll be quick.”
Not that being quick made him any less thorough. He did the basic procedures of patting down the sides, torso, hips and legs, keeping the gestures as impersonal as possible. No use in looking like he was fondling the thief, after all. Repeating them a second time except in the opposite direction, he paused at the shoulders before giving him a skeptical look.
“As a general question, how much hair spray is in that head of yours before I touch it?”
Kaito resisted the urge to shudder as he was poked and prodded. Ugh. He hated searches, even when he had nothing to hide. Or, at least, nothing to hide on his person.
Who the hell knew where he kept his materials.
“You think I need hair gel for this?” Kaito snorted. “No, perfection only comes from natural bed hair.”
